Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

This app is a divination tool. We do not require you to provide sensitive personal information such as your real name or ID number.

When you use the app as a guest, we identify your device using a device identifier (Android ID on Android, Keychain UUID on iOS) to enforce daily free usage limits. This identifier is not linked to your real identity.

When you register an account, we collect your chosen username, email, and password (stored encrypted) for login and history synchronization.

Your divination questions and AI interpretation results are saved on our servers so you can view your history after logging in.

2. Use of Device Identifiers

Device identifiers are used solely for abuse prevention (e.g., preventing users from bypassing daily free limits by reinstalling the app). They are not used for advertising, user profiling, or shared with third parties.

On iOS, the identifier is stored in the system Keychain and persists after app uninstall. On Android, the system Android ID remains constant for the device lifecycle.

3. AI Interpretation Service

The AI interpretation feature is powered by a third-party large language model (DeepSeek). Your divination questions and hexagram data are sent to this service for processing but are not used for training.

To improve quality, some scenarios supplement classical texts through knowledge-base retrieval (RAG). The retrieval service only receives hexagram and question text and does not store personal identity information.

The interpretation uses streaming — data is returned as generated, and we do not store intermediate process data.

4. Ba Zi Chart & Birth Information

The Ba Zi (Four Pillars) chart feature requires your birth date (Gregorian or lunar) and birth time to calculate your chart. This information is used only to generate the chart and AI reading, and is never made public or shared with third parties.

You may use only the I Ching hexagram feature without creating a chart; birth information is processed only when you actively use this feature.

5. In-App Purchases & Transaction Records

When you purchase credits through the Apple App Store or Google Play, we receive transaction information from the platform (such as transaction ID, product identifier, and purchase time) to confirm orders and grant credits.

We do not store sensitive payment data such as your full card number.

6. Cookies & Local Storage

The web version uses browser local storage (IndexedDB) to save your divination history. This data stays on your device and is not uploaded to our servers unless you log in.

We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies. Only essential technical cookies are used to maintain sessions.

We use our self-hosted Umami analytics service to record aggregate data such as page views and feature usage. It contains no personal identity information and is not used for ad targeting.

7. Information Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.

Information may be disclosed only in the following situations: with your consent, as required by law, or to protect the legitimate rights of this service and its users.

8. Information Security

We take reasonable technical measures to protect your information, including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), encrypted password storage, and database access controls.

However, please note that no method of internet transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee that information will not be accessed by unauthorized parties.

9. Use by Minors

This service is intended for users aged 18 and above. Minors should use it under the guidance of a guardian and should not register accounts on their own.

10. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. In the app, go to Profile > Settings > Delete Account to request deletion. We will send a verification code to your registered email; once verified, your account and all associated data (history, credits, feedback, etc.) will be permanently deleted.

You may also request deletion by emailing waylon_zhang@qq.com. We will process requests within 7 business days.

Uninstalling the app clears locally stored data, but cloud history records must be deleted using the methods above.

11. Policy Changes

This policy may be updated from time to time. Updated policies will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of this service constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
